2024 Internship at the Maidstone Club
Maidstone Club
The Maidstone Club located on the East End of Long Island is seeking two qualified interns looking to learn, work hard, and enjoy all The Hamptons has to offer for 3 or 6-months. Maidstone’s property is very diverse across the 27-holes of golf from dunes along the coast, to wetlands along Hook Pond, to woodlands. Facilities at the club are highlighted by the championship West Course, designed by Willie Park Jr. and restored by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in 2014. The west course features over 800 yards of Atlantic Ocean coastline along its southern boundary. It is complimented by a 9-hole course with its own unique history and charm. The tennis facility features 19-grass courts, 4-Har Tru Hydro Courts, and 2-croquet lawns. There is also a beach club and well regarded junior activities program in the summer. As an intern for the 2024 season you will be exposed to all aspects of turfgrass management and will work closely with the management team daily. The Maidstone internship program is open to experiences from 3 to 6 months during our March to November season. It is capped at three interns to deliver you the best experience possible for you. Interns will have the chance to gain experience all surfaces and all sports. There will be plenty of time spent working, but candidates will have ample time during the internship to experience the great benefits of living “out east” such as world class beaches, surfing, fishing, and the explore all that The Hamptons have to offer. Interns are offered free housing 5-minutes from the grounds department & less than a 1.5 miles to the beach. We are open to local and national candidates and can accommodate a remote interview process.
