Equipment/Shop Manager

Key responsibilities, skills, aptitude, and knowledge:

Equipment Maintenance

• Performing daily preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment.
• Placing orders for parts and supplies needed for maintenance.
• Maintaining an organized and clean shop area.
• Operating equipment in a safe manner.
• Lift at least 50 pounds.
• Being involved in the daily planning, scheduling, and decision-making process.
• Works with the staff to ensure proper training of equipment, care, and safety standards

Budget Management

• Managing equipment inventory worth over 2.5 million dollars.
• Ordering parts and supplies within budget constraints.
• Develops key relationships with local suppliers. 
• Maintains exceptional records of all equipment, preventative maintenance schedules and other items. 

Professional development

• Taking a proactive approach to equipment maintenance for optimum performance and longevity.
• Being a core member of the management team.
• Self-motivating and continuously enhancing abilities
• Having a passion for the turf industry and striving for excellence.
