Assistant Superintendent

We are looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team and help manage our golf maintenance under the direction of the course superintendent. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our staff, overseeing the implementation of maintenance programs, developing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The Assistant Superintendent must have strong mechanical ability and be able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.

As the Assistant Superintendent, you will participate in golf course maintenance and oversee the equipment operators. You will be responsible for safety, quality, and efficiency among your team.

• Assisting in the planning and supervising of the maintenance of greens, tees, and fairways
• Overseeing staff and ensuring the proper use of equipment
• Managing staff work schedules.
• Instructing on proper equipment handling
• Supervising pesticide applications and/or operating and calibrating pesticide application equipment
• Overseeing the irrigation to ensure irrigation and drainage systems are operating effectively.
• Driving safety culture across your team through continuous training and leading by example.
• Building strong relationships with your internal and external clients.
• Ensuring that the golf course meets or exceeds our quality standards.
• Counseling and developing members within your production team.
• Provide guidance to seasonal staff ensuring they are set up for success.
• Interviewing, selecting and helping to onboard new team members.
• Assist with the repair and maintenance of all equipment.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
