Position Summary:

            The role of the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent is to manage and assist with the daily maintenance of the golf courses and the adjacent grounds. These duties include—but are not limited to—overseeing and participating in all fertility and plant protectant programs, as well as irrigation installation and repairs. Bent Brook Golf Course, a 27-hole facility with newly renovated greens, bunkers, and tees, is looking for an individual who possesses strong leadership skills and has a keen eye for detail to work with the Superintendent to ensure that the high-quality standards for the golf course and surrounding grounds are met daily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with planning, scheduling, instructing, training, and directing the crew in the performance of golf course maintenance procedures and job responsibilities
• Advises the Golf Course Superintendent of course conditions
• Assists with chemical and fertilizer application
• Oversees the operation and maintenance of the irrigation system
• Oversees cleanup and storage of tools and equipment at the end of the shift
• Advises the Superintendent of all performance issues and enforces performance standards
• Communicates with co-workers, management, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent
