BrightView Golf Maintenance @ Yuma Golf and Country Club
BrightView Golf Maintenance has partnered with Yuma Golf and Country Club. Yuma G&CC is a private golf facility offering its membership golf, tennis, swimming and dining amenities. The Club was established in 1950 and is located in a pristine and tranquil location in Yuma Arizona. Superintendent will be responsible leading the maintenance team and managing the golf course property. Property includes the golf course, clubhouse grounds and landscaping. Bermuda turf is maintained on all greens, tees, fairways and rough. Course is overseeded in the fall. Rainbird Cirrus irrigation system. Yuma is a growing community that is known for its outdoor activities. The Colorado river and lakes provides opportunities for tubing, canoeing and boating. Imperial Sand Dunes offer great off-roading, biking, camping and more.

Duties and responsibilities include: Plan, organize, and direct course maintenance plan. Work with Club leaders to develop a long term property improvement plan. Supervise entire operation including working with the Equipment Manager on maintenance and repair of all equipment assigned to the course. Prepare and operate within annual budget. Procure and manage supplies and materials to support maintenance activities. Administer all aspects of the BrightView Safety Program. Represent BrightView Golf Maintenance and Yuma Golf and Country Club in a positive and professional manner including attitude, appearance and speech. Qualifications include: Experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture. A degree or advanced knowledge of agronomy, horticulture, plant or soil science. High degree of administrative and executive ability including effective oral and written communication skills and computer proficiency. Certified and /or licensed for pesticide usage. Familiar with the characteristics and proper use of fertilizers and soil conditioners. Knowledge of irrigation including watering practices, irrigation systems, pumps, wells and automatic controls and drainage. Able to prepare the course for play in accordance with the rules of golf. Able to evaluate the course from the player’s perspective. Valid driver’s license. |
