The Golf Course Superintendent is one who is entrusted with the maintenance, operation and management of the golf course. It is his/her responsibility to supervise the maintenance of the golf course, supervise the maintenance and repair of construction and maintenance equipment, and to do related work as required. Specifically the Golf Course Superintendent must: Supervise the mowing, watering and maintenance of tees, greens, fairways and related areas. Supervise the planting, fertilizing and maintenance of turf. Generally supervise the operation of an equipment repair shop. Order supplies and materials within budgetary limitations. Keep records of annual maintenance activities.
