Golf Course Superintendent
Gaylord Golf Club
Gaylord Golf Club is seeking applications for the position of Course Superintendent. Its current Superintendent is retiring at the end of 2023, after 37 years of exemplary service to the Club. The Club is seeking an individual who will continue the Club’s fine tradition of offering an excellent public and member golf experience. The successful candidate will also possess a vision of how to enhance the Gaylord Golf Club golfing experience well into the future. Founded in 1924, Gaylord Golf Club is one of Northern Michigan’s oldest golf clubs. Unlike many of today’s modern golf courses, Gaylord Golf Club features a classic parkland design reminiscent of early 20th Century courses. This semi-private club meanders through hills and hardwoods and features private club conditions, strategic bunkering and arguably, Northern Michigan’s best green complexes. Eighteen well designed holes, featuring close proximity from green to tee, make for an enjoyable and timely round. The Gaylord Golf Club is a member-owned golf course governed by a Board of Directors who meet monthly. The Course Superintendent, as well as the Managing Pro, serves on this governing Board. Although a public course, Gaylord Golf Club offers a variety of membership options. Today, nearly 140 members enjoy a private club experience with a variety of benefits and events.
