Cape Fear National is one of Wilmington, North Carolina’s most celebrated golf courses. Cape Fear’s award-winning 18-hole championship course is in a setting of unmatched natural beauty, with lush neighboring forests, expansive lakes and wetlands, on-course natural/native areas, a land that was “made for a golf course”.  Under new ownership, the course was recently converted to a fully private club. Job Summary

The Golf Couse Superintendent is responsible for the successful operation of all golf course facilities including (but not limited to):

• Clubhouse grounds, parking lot, landscape areas, golf course, practice facilities, maintenance facilities, etc.

The Golf Course Superintendent is also responsible for:

• Providing agronomic direction to ensure the golf course is maintained at the highest quality possible.
• Follow company standards for the healthy growth of the golf course grasses, trees, wetlands, and other applicable plant materials.
• Preparing an annual budget that achieves the financial goals of the property, along with proper forecasting, expense controls and labor management.
• All hiring, training, and development of staff.
• Ensuring that staff is working within OSHA, club safety, state, and federal guidelines.
• Ensuring that a sound preventative maintenance program is in place for the care and servicing of the golf course maintenance fleet of equipment.
