- Inspect, diagnose, maintain, preventive maintenance, install, and repair irrigation system and components consisting of: satellites, VFD pump stations, irrigation lines, sprinklers, pumps, motors, heads, valve-in-head sprinklers, rotary pop-ups, adjustable pop-up heads, valves, swing joints, PVC pipe and fittings, drains, drain valves, mechanical joints, electrical and low voltage wiring, thrust blocks, grounding grids, field controllers, central computer, communication cables, relief valves, quick couplers, etc.
- Diagnose and repair: mainline breaks, lateral breaks, pipes, components, heads, etc.
- Change out: heads, nozzles, diaphragms, wiring, circuit boards, transformers, solenoids, valves, sprinklers, lightening protection, irrigation lines, pipes, valves, control switches, etc.
- Conduct ground fault locating, ohms testing; perform computer programming.
- Monitor, Maintain and Repair where needed: irrigation pump houses, intakes & outputs.
- Monitors and promptly reports issues and irregularities to Superintendent.
- Dig ditches & refill, grade soil, sod for: installs, repairs, line runs, heads, etc.
- Monitor, Maintain and Repair: lakes, ponds, drainages, ditches, dams & shoreline.
- Maintain erosion control for lake, ponds, drainage shorelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe and orderly work environment at all times.
- Operate Equipment: tractors, dump truck, backhoe, bucket, hand-helds, mowers, trimmers, blowers, sod cutters, trailers, tiller, tamper, water pumps, etc.
- Check irrigation system and water schedule performance and performance in field.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of work, inventory, supplies & tools.
- Perform regular adjustments and performance checks to irrigation computer data.
- Perform occasional emergency needs or repairs off-hours, weekends & nights.
- Perform related and other work as needed, required, or assigned such as: mowing, trimming, and other golf course needs.
