Eastpointe Country Club is a 36-hole private country club community located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  The club is employee oriented; some say family oriented, and prides itself on five core values consisting of loyalty, knowledge, determination, dedication and learning by leadership.  Eastpointe is currently managed through Bobby Jones Links out of Atlanta, Georgia and provides various support to the Eastpointe Team through multiple departments.   

The East golf course is scheduled for a USGA spec green renovation, irrigation and lined bunker project the summer of 2024.  The candidate will be directly involved in all phases of planning and implementation of this project.  

 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an assistant superintendent. 
  • Reports to Director of Golf Course Grounds. 
  • Must possess a valid Florida Pesticide applicators license. 
  • Must be TEAM oriented.  The right candidate must have the willingness to grow and learn as well as have the desire to advance in their career in turf grass.  Must be self-motivated, always lead by example, and have a strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems, and efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure. 
  • Directly involved in creating and adapting the daily work schedule on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.  Must not be afraid to make mistakes but learn from. 
  • Ability to execute effectively both oral and written communication to staff.
  • Supervise and participate in fertilizer and pesticide applications.  Must be able to calibrate equipment and maintain proper application documents. 
  • Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state and federal regulations.  Also, responsible for the safety and direction of pesticide handlers and or helpers. 
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, OSHA regulations, relating to chemical and fertilizer storage and disposal, employee safety and public safety. 
  • Responsible for supervising and participating in all aspects of course irrigation, including repairs and water management. 
  • Hire, train and supervise maintenance staff with assistant superintendent. 
  • Work closely with Golf Operations staff, understanding tee times, events, range operation and weather-related decisions.

The hallmark of this hidden oasis is that it is home to two beautifully landscaped and distinctly different Fazio-designed golf courses with strategic bunkers, rolling fairways, and excellent greens. Eastpointe is located within an exclusive gated community of only 875 homes in the heart of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The club and community were developed by Claire Anderson in the 1970s and opened in 1974. Then in 1981, The Golf and Racquet Club at Eastpointe was developed by General Electric, adding a second premier club to the community. In November of 2015, these two private clubs within the Eastpointe Community, Eastpointe Country Club and The Golf and Racquet Country Club at Eastpointe merged to form what is now Eastpointe Country Club.
