Seeking a qualified self-starter to be responsible for overall turf maintenance for National Golf Links (NGL) in South Charleston, Ohio. NGL is a family owned and operated golf course since 1995. The championship course is on 312 acres of rolling hills with several creeks and ponds. Responsibilities include turf grass/plant material maintenance, personnel and fiscal management, chemical and pesticide applications and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Major Duties:
Turf grass maintenance and development as needed to produce excellent playing conditions.
Development and application of fertilizer, along with a weed and pest control program for turf grass and plant care.
Develop maintenance budget and operating plan in conjunction with owner/manager.
Participate in the development and implementation of course improvement projects.
Manage equipment maintenance and repair.
Manage turf grass maintenance staff.
Work closely with Golf Professional as it relates to course conditions and course set up.
Work closely with owner/manager as needed for operations.
Turf Management degree preferred 2 - 4 years
Experience with irrigation systems
Experience with equipment and repair
Ability to analyze and solve problems, efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision and work flexible hours including weekends as needed.
