Arcadia Bluffs is a 36 hole, single owner public golf facility located in Northern Michigan along the shore of Lake Michigan. Arcadia Bluffs is unique in its location within the state (#1 Public Course) as well as offering 2 golf courses that look and play differently.

Arcadia Bluffs culture of encouraging teamwork, self motivation, camaraderie, attention to detail, passion and personal growth remains in high regards within the turf industry. The current South Course Superintendent has been offered the Superintendent position at one of the top 5 clubs in Michigan. Along with this opportunity, the work environment that the current Assistant Superintendent experienced has prepared him for the Superintendent's role after less than 3 seasons on site.

The South Course maintenance strategy is to offer our guests firm playing conditions that challenge them intellectually and also compliments and protects the design features of the golf course.

The hired individual will possess a passion for the turf industry, growing professionally and providing the best possible playing conditions for our guests. Ideally the applicant would possess 2 plus years as an Assistant Superintendent or multiple years in a leadership role in a golf course grounds maintenance position. My focus on hiring has been primarily about who the individual is and what values they can offer those that they work with versus where or how long they have worked.

About Arcadia Bluffs
The Bluffs Course was built in 1999 with tees, greens and fairways consisting of mix of bentgrass/poa annua and irrigated with a Rainbird Cirrus irrigation system.  Lacking a true membership, Arcadia Bluffs hosts over 45,000 guest rounds annually from individuals around the country and the world. The South Course was opened in 2018 with fairways, tees and greens seeded to 007 and the primary rough seeded to Turf Type Tall Fescue and Kentucky Bluegrass. The Rainbird 2wire IC system is utilized on the South Course. Arcadia, Michigan is an ideal spot for the individual who enjoys the outdoors. Located next to Lake Michigan, water sports are readily available. Other activities range from fishing on blue ribbon trout streams to biking on premier trials to downhill skiing..
