The Vice President of Agronomy (VPA) is responsible for ensuring standards are being met or exceeded, based on company guidelines. VPA works closely with Course Superintendents at each club on the planning and implementation of the AG Plan, Budget, Capital Projects, Employee retention, Hiring, Training, Record keeping, Cultural practices, Communication with leadership team as well as membership, striving each day to make club better than the day before. Have knowledge of Audubon Certification program and needs to keep this moving forward.

  • Minimum 5 years as a Director of Golf Course Maintenance or Golf Course Superintendent of multiple courses with regional oversite.
  • 2- or 4-year turfgrass degree required
  • Construction and/or renovation experience
  • Cool and Warm season turf experience required.
  • Ultradwarf, Bentgrass, Poa and Tiffdwarf greens knowledge and experience
  • Valid Pesticide Applicators license or ability to obtain one within 120 days.
  • Strong Agronomic background
  • Financial acumen
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and social media
  • Strong ethics, standards, and accountability
