Tianna Country Club has an opening beginning March 1, 2023, for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Tianna Country Club is a semi-private 18-hole golf course located on the edge of the Chippewa National Forest, in Walker, Minnesota. The course offers five sets of tees ranging from 3,873 to 6,644 yards and a full practice facility. In 2007 it was named Member Club of the Year by the Minnesota Golf Association. Tianna is also known for its Hole #2 which was chosen for Explore Minnesota Dream 18 and was voted the Best Golf Hole in Minnesota by WCCO viewers.
Duties include, working with Maintenance Superintendent on the following:
Scheduling, training, supervising of grounds staff
Pesticide and fertilizer applications
Scheduling and maintaining irrigation system
Assistance with maintenance of equipment and golf cart fleet
Assistance with daily course and tournament set-up and operation
Assistance with hiring, budgeting, and employee evaluations
A 2- or 4-year degree in Turf/Golf Course Management and/or 5 years of golf course maintenance preferred
Current Minnesota Pesticide Applicator License or ability to obtain one within 6 months
Valid Driver’s license
Strong work ethic, organized, positive attitude, motivated, with a high attention to detail
Knowledge of the game of golf and rules
Ability to perform physical, outdoor work in all weather conditions. Requirement to lift 75 lbs.
