Spirit Hollow 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Spirit Hollow is currently looking to fill the position of 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Within the next 18 months, Spirit Hollow will begin an extensive renovation. The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will assist the Golf Course Superintendent during this renovation. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right individual to gain a great deal of experience and enhance his / her career path. The renovation will include: *A new irrigation system * Construction of a new lake system that will serve as our primary irrigation water source. *Addition of several new bunkers and renovation of all existing bunkers (Better Billy Bunker System) *Conversion of over 30 acres from primary rough to fescue *Grading and renovation of multiple fairways and green complexes *Re-design of multiple tees *Re-routing of various cart paths *Renovation of the practice facility to include a short course and putting course Overview The assistant superintendents report directly to the golf course superintendent. Under the superintendent's supervision, the assistants direct and participate in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths; supervise the maintenance and repair of motorized and other mechanical equipment; and do related work as required. The assistants may serve in the superintendent's capacity during his/her absence. |
