Astoria Country Club is a private golf club located on the north Oregon coast. We are a unique links style golf course celebrating our 100-year anniversary in 2023. The north Oregon coast is an amazing place to live for people that enjoy the outdoors. This Internship will not be a sunup to sundown type of internship and there will be plenty of free time available to enjoy the beaches, lakes, state parks etc.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for learning and growing.
This is a paid internship at $20 an hour and must be recognized by intern’s collegiate institution as academic credit towards chosen degree in Turfgrass Management or Plant Sciences.
This is a full-time internship which entails 40+ hours per week. This position will start workdays at 4:30 a.m. and will work 6 days per week with the average work week being 50 hours.
Must be enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4 year Turfgrass Management or Plant Sciences program. Following a positive internship as well as graduation from the intern’s collegiate institution, continued growth at AGCC and the turfgrass industry will likely be available as an Assistant Superintendent, Irrigation Technician, or Spray Technician.
