Assistant Mechanic

Spring Run Golf Club is looking for an assistant mechanic to help manage the entire fleet of equipment. Spring Run is a private 18-hole golf club located in Bonita Springs. The assistant manager will communicate daily with the mechanic manager to determine the needs that need to be meet for the day in reference to the equipment. The equipment package will consist of Toro mowing equipment, Kubota tractors and a variety of other equipment needed to maintain golfing course. The Assistant Mechanic must be able to perform a variety of diagnosing, repairing and maintaining work for equipment.

Position Type:
Full Time, rotating weekends required

Position Duties (not limited to):

• Assist Head Mechanic/Equipment Manager in all tasks
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of small engines- oil changes, filters, etc.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and electric components of equipment
• Accurately evaluate, diagnose root causes, and institute timely repair procedures on equipment breakdowns
• Maintain accurate information and reports of equipment and services
• Perform various tasks associated with maintaining properly performing cutting units, including grinding, adjusting heights, and minor reel adjustments
• Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times
• Inventory and maintain stock levels of regularly used items
• Participate in safety training

Position Skill Requirements:

• Strong background in hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
• Knowledge of small engines and landscaping tools
• Strong work ethic
• Physical demands are required for this position and might include, but are not limited to:
• Regular Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
• Noise level in work environment is usually moderate
• Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions including sun, rain, cold
• Repetitive movement- standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending squatting, stooping, talking, writing, and typing

Desired Skills (non-mandatory):

• Bilingual English/Spanish 
• Computer Skills – Excel, Word, Outlook
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Drivers License
