| Assistant Superintendent Oso Beach Golf Course The assistant superintendent reports directly to the superintendent. Under the superintendents supervision the assistant directs and participates in the maintenance of the golf course property. The assistant will be responsible for direct supervision of the crew and being in charge of managing a weekend staff. A self motivated individual, able to diagnose turf problems, and some mechanical knowledge is necessary to be a part of the agronomy team. Daily duties: Participate in planning and supervision of maintenance activities. Coordinate with mechanic to ensure equipment is ready for the next day. Participate in daily monitoring of putting green (moisture, disease) Observe and evaluate playing conditions ( mower quality, bunker raking, course setup) Assist with record keeping job boards, chemical and fertilizer applications. Assist with operations of irrigation system Rainbird Cirrus also look for problems on course due to faulty irrigation. Follow and comply with company and departmental safety policies to create a safe work environment. Ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic. Prefered turf degree or certificate and at least two years of well rounded golf course maintenance experience.
