Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Harborside International is seeking a professional candidate with applicable experience to manage in-field operations for the Course and Grounds Department. A KemperSports/Port District of Chicago property, Harborside features The Port and Starboard courses. Both championship, public golf courses are late 1990s Dick Nugent designs. The weather conditions and construction of the property are more representative of European links golf and present a very unique golfing experience to the City of Chicago and surrounding areas.

Harborside Course and Grounds operates out of an extremely extensive facility that features a 3-bay mechanic’s workstation and ample equipment storage. There is a full-time equipment maintenance staff, a team of advanced technicians, and operates at a peak season total of 30 employees.

The position available is not entry level. Candidates should be committed, qualified turf professionals that are seeking an opportunity to finalize their skillsets in advance of managing their own operation. The previous two professionals in this role are now Head Golf Course Superintendents at their own facilities.
