Kanon Valley is an 18-hole semi-private golf course located on the border of Oneida and Canastota in the Mohawk Valley. Kanon Valley, like many other courses, is experiencing a growth in membership along with increased public play making this an exciting time to join our team and propel the course forward with more resources available. We are looking for a motivated individual that is willing to take a hands-on approach when it comes to every facet of golf course maintenance. Kanon Valley's members will treat you like family and volunteer their services whenever needed.
Responsibilities will include
All aspects of course maintenance including mechanical duties
Pesticide applications and record keeping to remain compliant
Rainbird Stratus II irrigation repair and maintenance
Staff hiring, training and supervision
Work with green committee and board of directors
Education/Experience requirements
2-year degree in turf related field preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in golf course maintenance
NY State pesticide license
Compensation
65,000-70,000 dollars Based on experience.
Local and National GCSAA dues
All cost associated with pesticide license renewal
Golf and meal privileges
This position can be flexible regarding months worked per year
