The Legacy Courses at Craguns is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent to manage our Lehman 18-hole course along with our 9-hole par three course/practice facility!

Cragun’s Legacy Courses is a beautiful 54-hole golf complex separated into the Lehman 18 and the Dutch 27 with a par three nine-hole course/practice facility. Currently completing a $10 million dollar reconstruction, Lehman Design Group made our 45-holes of Championship golf more creative, playable, inviting, beautiful, and fun! Cragun’s Legacy Courses is also the home of the CRMC Championship at PGA Tour Canada Event played annually in August, one of only two facilities in the State of Minnesota to host an annual PGA Tour Event. Job Summary

The Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the Director of Golf Course Maintenance.  The Superintendent manages the day-to-day operations of the Lehman 18 and par 3/practice facility, meeting high expectations of the course and maintaining exceptional playing conditions through water management and cultural practices.  The ideal candidate in this role will be detail orientated, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have an above and beyond attitude to ensure that expectations are always achieved. This position will require great leadership and communication skills.  The Golf Course Superintendent directs and participates in all aspects of golf course maintenance and performs related work as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and managing the maintenance of all the areas of the golf course.
• Responsible for determining irrigation requirements and setting up nightly irrigation.
• Implements fertility and pesticide programs and monitors effectiveness.
• Scout golf course for disease, nutrient needs, soil moisture and course needs.
• Supervises pesticide applications, verifies equipment is properly calibrated.
• Record keeping of all pesticide and fertilizer applications.
• Supervises and participates in the operation, repair and maintenance of pumps, irrigation system and central irrigation control system
• Staff hiring, train, supervise, discipline, and evaluate personal.
• Communicate with proshop and other departments as needed.
• Weekly meetings with Director of Maintenance
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance facility
