The Connecticut Golf Club is a golf club devoted exclusively to the game of golf. The Club has limited play and players who have high course conditioning expectations. This position is part of the club’s management team and will be involved in all aspects of golf course management. A Major Golf Course Renovation project was started in 2022. It included bunkers, tees, irrigation upgrades, cart path repaving of the front nine, and a short new game area. In 2023, renovations will continue with cart path repaving of the back nine, a few more tee upgrades, a complete major redesign of the driving range with new irrigation, a new 6000 sqft cart storage/maintenance building, a new halfway house, and finish up with a new technology center.

The candidate must be an energetic motivated individual who wants to learn. They should be a reliable team player dedicated to consistent quality work providing excellent playing conditions. They must possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to succeed, be organized, and effectively communicate. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

2–4-year degree in Turf Management, hands on golf course experience with an internship and/or 2+ years of golf course maintenance experience. A Turf Management Certificate combined with prior golf course experience will be considered.  Currently have a CT Pesticide License or obtain a CT Pesticide License within 90 days of employment.

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: Having or obtaining a CT State Supervisory Pesticide License will qualify for a higher wage.
