Contra Costa Country Club is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, approximately 20 miles northeast of downtown San Francisco. In 2015, the club completed an expansive golf course renovation that included new tees, greens, and bunkers, as well as re-grassing the entire course with perennial ryegrass and bentgrass greens. The course features 86 acres of turf, as well as 16 acres of native grasses. The club is quickly approach its 100th Anniversary in 2025 and has its eyes focused on the future.
Summary:
As 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you will develop a understanding for managing a property with reclaimed water and cool season grasses in a transition zone of California. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or student still in college looking to further develop his/her agronomic, personnel, and managerial skillsets required to advance within the industry.
