This position will assist in the planning and execution of the golf course maintenance program in a capacity that will prepare the Assistant-In-Training with the necessary skills to become a successful 1st Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. The individual will receive experience in all aspects of golf course maintenance and integrated plant management. The Assistant-In-Training will be provided an opportunity to learn and develop as a golf course manager at their own pace under the mentorship of the Head Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent(s).
The individual must possess or be pursuing a 2-4 year Turf Management degree or certificate & previous golf course experience. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn and grow in the turfgrass industry.

Sahalee Country Club first opened for play in 1969 and was recently ranked among America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses by Golf Digest. The championship caliber design originated from nationally recognized golf course architect Ted Robinson and is undergoing a bunker and tee renovation by Rees Jones beginning in 2022. Carved out of the Cascade foothills on the greater Sammamish plateau, Sahalee Country Club is located just 15 miles east of downtown Seattle and was the site of the 1998 PGA Championship, 2010 U.S. Senior Open and 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
