The Golf Course Superintendent is entrusted with the maintenance, operations and management of the Tipton Golf Course grounds.  As a city employee, he/she will report directly to the Director of Golf and provide knowledge, advice, expertise and ability to him, as well as the Golf Advisory Committee, Park Board and any other City Departments as needed.

-Advanced knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management practices. 

-Excellent oral and written communication skills.

-Knowledge of current federal, state and local laws and regulations affecting the management of golf course operations.

-Ability to make and work within a budget.

-Participation in continuing education opportunities provided by the City of Tipton.

-Maintain an Indiana Pesticide Application License.

-Subject to Pre-Employment, Random and Post Accident Drug and Alcohol Screens.

-Minimum of 3 years as a Class C Superintendent.

About Tipton Golf Course
Tipton Golf Course is a City owned, daily fee golf course. TGC has 18 holes, Driving Range, Chipping green and Practice Putting Green. A new irrigation system has been installed (2018) and TGC has a great reputation for reasonable pricing and excellent playing surfaces. We do over 20,000 rounds a year, helping all calibers of players enjoy their golfing experience.
