The Milbrook Club is seeking an individual that is looking to enhance and hone their skills as a leader, communicator and turfgrass agronomist. An individual seeking to branch out for the opportunity of a lead role. The opportunity to apply skills and knowledge previously gained to everyday responsibilities and decision-making situations. Alternatively, an individual that brings experience and ideas to improve the operation and efficiency. One who is willing to collaborate with a veteran team to better enhance the golf course and member experience.
The individual will participant in the continuing work of the Golf Course Master Plan developed with Architect A. John Harvey. The assistant will be responsible to help manage Milbrooks’ recent upgrades including USGA greens, Better Billy Bunkers, practice facility, drainage and pumping system installed with Turf Drainage of American and other club amenities.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, excellent communicator and works alongside the Superintendent and existing team members throughout all facets of the course.
2 or 4 year Turfgrass Management degree, certificate in agronomy or completion of relevant field program.
2-3 years’ experience on a golf course/in the green industry required or student about to complete their degree/certificate program.

About The Milbrook Club
The Milbrook Club is a bucolic, elegant and sophisticated private golf and country club in Greenwich, Connecticut where you can bring the kids, enjoy sports, and relax with friends. The Club was established in 1923 on the former site of the William “Boss” Tweed estate in the gated Milbrook district.
The club sits on 70+ acres with amenities that include tennis, paddle tennis, pickle ball, aquatics, multiple dining options from formal to poolside services and a Championship 9-hole golf course built in 1923.
As the Milbrook Club prepares to celebrate its centennial year in 2023, numerous renovations and upgrades have occurred campus wide to many of its facilities. Continuing this fall is the complete renovation of the tennis pro shop and addition of a golf simulator. Additionally, the golf course has collaborated with course Architect A. John Harvey over the past five years to complete four USGA spec greens, numerous upgrades to additional greens, tees, bunkers and the drainage network. As improvements continue to advance, The Milbrook Club is unwavering in its focus to provide family and friends an experience that all can enjoy for another 100 years of memories.
