| GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB Maintenance Specialist – Golf Course

- Directs the work of subordinate personnel and provides both technical assistance and participation in maintenance and repair activities as necessary.
- Supervises activities such as chemical application, aquatic maintenance, irrigation and construction on assigned grounds.
- Operates portable and heavy gas-powered ground maintenance equipment in applying agricultural fertilizers and chemicals and ensures proper irrigation of applied areas.
- Fertilizes and applies herbicides, insecticides, algaecides, fungicides and other agricultural products to City golf course property.
- Inspects sprinkler systems, streets, buildings and grounds for needed repairs and safety compliance.
- Perform other related duties as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position involves medium physical demands, such as exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Tasks may require prolonged periods of visual concentration and require moderate levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.
