Equipment Manager

The Equipment Manager reports to Golf Course Equipment Director. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all equipment repairs. The position is also responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building, contributes to a preventative maintenance program, training Assistant Technicians and places safety procedures as a top priority.

General Responsibilities:

• Maintain all equipment and vehicles to manufacturers specifications
• Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all equipment
• Keeps accurate, up to date and complete records on all equipment serviced
• Assist crew on how to properly and safely operate equipment
• Assist with maintaining a high level of quality of cut at all times on all cutting equipment; including reel grinding
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized shop and work environment at all times
• Check that all equipment is operating properly at all times and that machines do not have any worn parts or worn hydraulic hoses
• Complete all assigned necessary repairs in a timely matter
• Prioritize all equipment repairs assigned with MyTurf equipment management program
• Responsible and accountable for grinding reels parallel to .002th
• Accountable for ensuring small equipment is properly checked in and ready for daily use
• Assist management team with ongoing crew and technician training initiatives
• Communicate with management to ensure all equipment is safe to use and available for daily and weekly tasks.
