Our equipment manager will play an integral role in creating the foundation for this next chapter of or story.
The equipment manager will maintain a significant level of autonomy and will be expected to be a leader and self-starter. The position provides an excellent opportunity to experience all facets of a high-end daily fee operation as well as PGA tournament preparation. The position provides an excellent opportunity to build a large professional network within the golf industry, the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and PGA Tour Productions.
Technical and functional turf equipment management experience
Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Diesel systems
Working understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of the principles, and fundamentals of reel/cutting unit management
Comfortable command of verbal, interpersonal & communication skills
Ability to adapt to new technology and maintain a progressive fleet of equipment
Possess a passion for the industry
Great organizational skills and record keeping practices
Ability to self-manage the shop, fleet and all related responsibilities.
Must possess adept knowledge regarding the fine tuning of tournament level reel and rotary cutting units
Able to develop and implement preventative maintenance and repair programs and schedules.
Able to maintain great working relationships with vendors and distributors.
Able to handle ordering and purchasing of all parts and equipment.
Willing to organize and restructure the shop to create a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
Able to manage and monitor an equipment and supplies budget of $75,000+.
Must work with the director of agronomy to develop annual operating and capital budgets.
Able to create an environment focused on teaching, training and cooperation.
Able to maintain open lines of communication with the entire team.
Possess a passion for the industry and high end/tournament golf.
Ability to promote a fun, cooperative work environment that invites open communication and teamwork within the team and between divisions.
Possess a strong interest in continued improvement and adaptation.
