Superintendent

Stonecrest golf club is seeking a Superintendent or an Assistant Superintendent that is ready to move into head position. New ownership is looking for someone who is capable of organizing regular and scheduled maintenance practices. The candidate must have a positive attitude to come along side and provide leadership to the existing team. The position requires that they can calculate budgets, manage chemical, work along side a lawn care mechanic, and work closely with General Manager and director of Golf.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the golf course at the highest quality possible at all times by providing agronomic direction and expertise to the maintenance team
• Ensures healthy growth of the golf course grasses, trees, wetlands, and other applicable plant materials by following company and industry standards
• Manages programs for turf/grass, material and chemical maintenance, and asset allocation
• Prepares and manages annual budget through proper forecasting, expense controls and labor management
• Displays exceptional communication between department staff and Director of Golf and is willing to report any issues or concerns directly to the GM
• Fosters relationships with Members, Employee Partners and guests and acts as a team player in this manner
• Provides leadership and direction to team members on an ongoing basis and displays skills in organization, planning and communication as required in successful leadership roles
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and desires ongoing success and improvement of course
• Hires, trains and develops all staff in department
• Ensures staff is working within OSHA, club safety, State and Federal guidelines for safe working conditions
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and record keeping as required by local, State and Federal laws
