Parks Maintenance Irrigation Coordinator

The City of Peoria Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an Irrigation Coordinator within the Neighborhood Parks division. This is a full-time, benefitted position that will lead the division’s irrigation repair, maintenance, and programming responsibilities. Specific duties include:

• Troubleshoot and maintain a variety of irrigation systems throughout the city including, parks, basins, fields, sport complexes, and native areas
• Program and operate computerized central control systems
• Understand and adhere to objectives and goals to meet water budgets and restrictions
• Perform required documentation and reporting of irrigation use, metering, and data metrics
• Maintain, track, order and inventory irrigation supplies
• Operate and maintain irrigation motors and pumps
• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on complex irrigation systems
• Maintain parks and open space, irrigation systems, turf, trees, and plants
• Possess considerable independent and professional judgement
• Be willing to work flexible schedules to meet the demands of the position
• Perform other duties as assigned
