2nd Assistant Superintendent, Assistant in Training, Assistant superintendent
The Assistant Superintendent will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and will be required to perform a number of different tasks in a detailed manner including daily course set-up, plant protectant applications, hand-watering, effective crew leadership and helping with various golf course enhancement projects. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance, 401K match, a yearly bonus and others. The Assistant Superintendent should be adaptable, motivated and committed to both meeting our operational standards and enhancing our maintenance team. The ability to obtain a commercial pesticide applicator's license in Wisconsin is required. The Ozaukee Country Club will be hosting the Wisconsin State Open Championship this season. This year also marks the 100th anniversary of our club. Additionally, we expect to begin the process of constructing a new maintenance facility this fall. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain exposure in the industry while building a solid resume on their way to becoming a Golf Course Superintendent. We have an outstanding maintenance staff in place; we’re excited to add another member to our team.

We are looking for someone who wants to become a Golf Course Superintendent while possessing the dedication and commitment required to achieve his/her goals.
Applicants must be physically able to operate various equipment in both the stationary position and by walking, occasionally move or transport items which may weigh up to 50 pounds and realize that they will be working in outdoor weather conditions. Additionally, this position requires frequent and proficient communication with co-workers and subordinates.
