Installs and maintains underground pipe operations and assists superintendent with preventative maintenance of designated system. Measures plastic pipe to specified length and cuts pipe using handsaw/battery saw. Applies plastic cement to pipe and coupler using brush, and fits pipe and coupler together. Attaches risers to pipe at specified intervals, using plastic cement and fittings; digs holes for pump stand using shovel and lowers stand and assembled pipe into excavation by hand. Operates crawler type tractor to cover pipe; maintains records of daily activities and expenses.
Assists superintendent with preventative maintenance of designated system.
Repairs irrigation system defects.
Assists superintendent in maintaining parts inventory.
Makes all irrigation orders after Director of Golf Course Maintenance approval.
Performs PM and Curative maintenance on pump station.
Maintains daily records of activities and expenses.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Knowledge of the principles of electric hydraulic, pipe and fittings, pump stations and record keeping
