2022 Bayside Golf Club Internship Opportunity

Bayside Golf Club is a family built and family owned public golf course located in Brule Nebraska along Lake Mconaughy. With the help of Architects Dan Proctor and Dave Axeland who had a hand in shaping such legends as Sand Hills Golf Club in Mullen, NE, and designing Wildhorse just east in Gothenburg, NE.

Notable updates ranging from equipment, agronomic practices, and playability in the last 4 years has brought the course some spotlight.  We ranked #84 in Golfweeks 2021 Top 100 Public Courses to play across the U.S. and Third in the state. 

Located in the Sandhills the course sits on a sandy-soil base tee to green. This allows you as an intern at Bayside Golf Club to experience in all aspects of turf management.  We strive to produce the best possible playing surface we can. We achieve this through practical and efficient maintenance practices.

You will get hands on knowledge of the following

• Broadcast and spot spraying
• Topdressing
• Irrigation
• Installation of new Toro Lynx Smart Satellites and Central
• Optimization of Greens Sprinklers (replacing nozzles/heads)
• Aerification
• Course Set Up
• Overall Course Improvements 
• Simple mechanic repairs and reel setup/grinding

We are seeking motivated individuals who enjoy golf in its pure form.  We are located on Lake McConaughy and bring that atmosphere to the working environment being relaxed and fun for all.
