Harrison Meadows Country Club is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. The right candidate will have a keen eye for detail and good communication skills. You will work hand in hand with the Golf Course Superintendent to provide optimal turf conditions to our members and guests. The qualified candidate will be involved in all aspects of the daily operation as well as record keeping, budgeting, chemical applications and staff training. The right candidate will help promote and foster a team atmosphere to provide a productive and healthy work environment.
Works with the Superintendent to ensure that the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans are maintained and followed.
Supervises and assists maintenance staff in daily duties.
Assists in the planning, organizing and direction of the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
Supervises the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees and ornamental plants.
Assists in the procurement of supplies and materials and ensures costs remain within budgetary limitations.
Follows sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors, when possible.
Coordinates snow removal (depending upon facility location).
Helps ensure all company policies and procedures are followed including compliance with government regulations.
Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation Technician.
Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Valid Driver’s License, Pesticide Application License (or ability to obtain one within 90 days).
Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from four or two-year college or technical school; three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Degree preference in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/soil science).
Regularly stands, walks and sits. Regularly uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, tastes or smells. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, fumes and/or airborne particles. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.

Harrison Meadows was originally opened in 1917 as Green Meadow Country club. Over the years the club has progressed through several phased renovations. Harrison meadows Country Club has some dramatic elevation changes that makes it play longer than it really is. The real challenge of the course is it’s small but undulating greens. The Club has 6 har tru tennis courts, pool and full length driving range. Harrison Meadows Country Club was purchased by the town of Harrison in July of 2021 and is transitioning from a private facility to semi-private. The club has set an April 1 target for the facility to be operational
