We are seeking a Golf and Sports Turf Manager to join our growing team.
You will have a unique opportunity to work on sports and golf surfaces as well as our sod farm. There are not many opportunities that present such a varied and challenging career opportunity. Most of our work is within 2 hours of Lancaster, working on sports fields (municipal, high school, college/university and professional) and golf courses.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Safe and efficient operation of sprayers, spreaders, mowers and tractors
Ability to safely operate a heavy duty pick up truck and trailer
Repair and troubleshooting of irrigation systems
Helping our construction division with irrigation installations
Fertilizer and pesticide apps on sports fields and sod farm turf
Aeration (deep tine, core, solid tine, linear) and clean up on sports and golf
Mowing of sports fields
Inspection and diagnosis of turf issues
Grow-in of new sod and seed on sports field construction projects
Short-term goals and priorities for the Golf and Sports Turf Manager:
Develop rapport with existing team to understand the culture and operations
Learns the standard operating procedures from drainage installation, construction and renovation practices, sports field maintenance and aeration programs, irrigation design and installations.
Take ownership in safety and communication protocols
Educational and Experience Requirements:
A background in sports turf, golf landscape or irrigation is a great starting point for this position; preferred 3-5 years
Prior experience and / or a degree in turfgrass, landscape, horticulture management is preferred.
A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of sports turf is a must.
A pesticide license or the ability to get one within 60 days of employment. Willingness to obtain a CDL for the operation of a heavy duty truck and trailer (no tractor trailers).
Additional Salary Information: We offer benefits including paid time off, overtime after 8 hours daily, health insurance and 401K with match.
The majority of the work is Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
