The Golf Operations Manager creates and manages comprehensive golf and clubhouse programs for the City of Fairfield Municipal Courses. The Golf Operations Manager budgets, plans, implements, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the golf and clubhouse programs; manages and trains the required staff, and monitors the services and facilities to optimize the safety, cleanliness, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of the experiences provided for golf patrons. This position is responsible for day-to-day operations at Fairfield Greens South Trace and Fairfield Greens North Trace Golf Courses.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Physical Education, Recreation Administration or related field. Three to five years golf course management experience. Class A, PGA card/membership preferred. Knowledge of standard practices of golf course operation and management. Knowledge of the rules of Golf, etiquette and customs. Knowledge of concessions, hospitality, banqueting and catering preferred. Communication and instructional skills. Interpersonal and customer contact skills. Valid driver’s license.
