The successful applicant will be team oriented with a positive attitude, hardworking, self-motivated, organized, able to clearly communicate, order parts and maintain parts inventory, work within a set budget, plan, and keep records. The head mechanic answers directly to the superintendent but must be able to maintain a positive working relationship with the assistant superintendents and other staff members. The head mechanic will be responsible for the entire equipment fleet, shop, and storage areas. We currently have a wide range of equipment from string trimmers to tractors from manufactures including John Deere, Toro both new and old. Tools, heated shop, and equipment lifts provided. Also, we run a snow plowing service in the wintertime and have 4 trucks 4 tractors that we use that will need to be maintained. This position will also be on the snowplow team as well. In the winters the superintendent and the assistant superintendents help with the upkeep of the equipment as need. Looking for someone with a golf course back ground, willing to training the right candidate.
