Pine Valley Golf Club is a 18-hole private golf course founded in 1913, designed by George Crump. Pine Valley is ranked #1 in the World by Golf Digest. In additional to the Old Course, there is a 10-hole Short course designed by Tom Fazio and a 20 acre double-ended practice facility. Pine Valley Golf Club offers candidates an opportunity to be part of a constantly evolving golf club with construction projects happening each year.
Second Assistants will work closely with First Assistants to plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of maintenance of the golf course. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, reliable, and willing to work the hours needed to uphold our high standards. Must have a strong attention to detail and be passionate about advancing in the golf course maintenance industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team.
The selected candidate will participate in all aspects of maintenance of the golf course. Second assistants will be responsible for the proper handling, mixing, and application of pesticide and fertilizer applications, as well as accurate record keeping. They will provide supervision and directly participate in the daily maintenance of the golf course.

Must have a passion for the turf industry with a strong desire to become a Golf Course Superintendent.
Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in Golf Course Maintenance/Turf Maintenance.
Knowledge of the use of turf equipment including tractors, mowers, aerifiers, etc.
Must be willing to take directions and provide clear and concise directions to staff.
Must possess ability to coordinate and complete tasks with limited supervision.
Must be a self-starter and eager to learn.
Must be able to recognize and solve problems.
Must maintain high performance standards.
Must be able to obtain New Jersey Pesticide license in a timely manner.
