John's Island Club is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill our Second Assistant position on our West Course. John's Island West is part of a 54 hole private John's Island Club and is located 7 miles from the main facility. The West Course is a Tom Fazio design that will undergo a complete renovation starting in April. The West design is very unique to the east coast of Florida since it boasts up to 50' elevation changes while sitting on a sand ridge. The Course hosted the 2015 USGA Mid Amateur Championship that was won by Sammy Schmidt.
We are looking for a highly motivated team oriented individual with a passion for golf course management.
Two or four year degree in Turfgrass Management or completion of Turf Management related certificate program.
Must have or obtain a Florida T & O pesticide license within 90 Days.
Minimum of 2 years previous golf course maintenance experience.
Must have the ability to train, motivate and effectively guide the work of team members in a safe and efficient manner.
Participating knowledge of the game of golf.
