Green Island Country Club is looking for our next Assistant Superintendent. The AS will work closely with the course superintendent on daily cultural plans and practices, crew supervision and training, budget preparation and execution and long and short range planning of course enhancements. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following traits and characteristics.
-A hunger to learn and grow within the turf industry.
-Leading a team from the front. Must possess hands-on skills.
-Detail-oriented when addressing daily practices on the course.
-Must be a positive individual with a good work ethic.
Although all applicants will be considered, prior golf course experience is preferred.
The preferred candidate is a graduate of an accredited College or University with a degree in Turf Grass Science. Possesses the willingness to achieve a working knowledge of championship golf course conditioning and team building emphasizing professional development. One that is committed to the profession and eager to progress in your career.
