The Head Golf Professional is responsible for managing all golf and golf-related activities at the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create, promote and direct all golf activities.
Develop annual operating budgets and provide fiscal direction to the Golf Course.
Formulate and administer a departmental budget in order to achieve company objectives within the established guidelines.
Supervise maintenance of the golf cart fleet.
Develop policies and procedures for the establishment in the administrative area.
Manage inventory of merchandise in the pro shop and the outside service equipment.
Oversees all operations of Salish Cliffs Restaurant
Monitor requisitions and orders for departmental supplies and equipment.
Maintain accountability of all supplies ordered and stocked.
Maintain an attractive and orderly appearance in the golf shop.
Provide golf lessons to facility patrons.
Create and conduct player development programs for ladies, juniors and other groups.
Hire, train, and supervise golf shop staff and outside services staff.
Conduct staff meetings with pro shop staff and outside services staff to ensure facility goals, objectives and standards are being met.
Create Open-To-Buy plan for golf shop merchandise purchases and sales.
Direct and promote golf operation safety program.
Responsible for knowing all events in the property.
Attend all mandatory meetings and training.
Display sensitivity to Native American Culture.
Operate within the parameters of the Little Creek Human Resource Policies, Departmental Policies and all other applicable regulations.
Other duties may be assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Golf Course. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Must have strong computer skills - Word, Excel, POS and Tee Sheet Management.
Ability to obtain / renew all required licenses or certificates.

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
Minimum five years management experience in the Golf Course Operations
Experience in merchandise and golf shop management.
Experience in golf instruction.
Experience in building player development programs.
Experience conducting golf outings/events.
OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Gaming License issued from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission
Requires a Valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe’s insurance
PGA Member preferred
