The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Grand National is currently accepting applications for an Assistant In Training and Spray Tech positions. This position will assist with the maintenance of the golf course, practice area, and clubhouse facilities in order to maintain the highest standards of excellence. The AIT will work in an advanced role to help strengthen his/her understanding in agronomics, turfgrass and staff management.
Valid driver license required.
Certification in Pesticide Management or the ability to work toward acquiring a Pesticide Applicator's License.
Must pass pre-employment drug test and be willing to submit to random testing throughout the term of employment.
Pay Status: Non-exempt (hourly) position commensurate with experience.

Grand National is a part of Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, which consists of 11 different facilities throughout the state of Alabama. Both the Lake and Links courses at Grand National were ranked #2 & #9 respectively by Golfweek's "Best Courses You Can Play in Alabama" for 2020.
Grand National has played host to numerous professional and collegiate events, including the 2019 Symetra Tour's Zimmer Biomet Championship, 2015-2017 PGA Tour's Barbasol Championship, 2000 NCAA Men's Golf Champiionship, 1998 LPGA Tournament of Champions, 1997 NIKE Tour Championship and annually hosts the Auburn University Tiger Invitational.
The Facilities at Grand National include 36 holes of championship golf, an 18 hole par 3 course and practice facility. Current playing surfaces consist of Champion Bermudagrass, TifEagle and TifDwarf Bermudagrass greens, 419 Bermudagrass Tees, Fairways & Rough. Select tees and fairways are overseeded with perennial ryegrass in the winter. A greens renovation from bentgrass to TifEagle Bermudagrass as well as other course improvements are scheduled to be completed in early Fall 2021.
