Maintains all grounds including the golf course, clubhouse surroundings and other maintainable property
Directs and assists the staff on completing daily tasks with goal of maintaining the course at a high level while constantly improving productivity.
Analyzes problem areas on a daily basis and has communicated plan to correct areas.
Irrigation assessment of all playing surfaces on a daily basis and make corrections to provide a firm and uniform surface.
Communicate daily with the general manager of any and all issues that may affect any of the personnel, turf, irrigation, water, plant and landscape systems.
Oversees subordinates in proper and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical and power equipment.
Supervises and participates in the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizer and Pesticides) on the Club’s grounds in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
Maintain records and completes required reporting-mandatory daily tasks and where jobs are completed – all with specifics and accuracy.
2 or 4 year degree in turf grass management
Current superintendent or assistant with 3-5 years’ experience minimum
Must have a strong attention to details to enhance the quality of the golf course and to hold the team to the same standards
Ability to build a team that works toward the goal of daily improvement of the course.
Possess a valid Flordia pesticide license or obtain one within 90 days of accepting the position
