The position is responsible for supervising, leading and scheduling the daily shop activities. This position provides coordination between service administration and the technicians to manage customer expectations.

Ensuring customer satisfaction for all customers shop repairs.
Scheduling and assign job tasks to meet maximum shop utilization and productivity to meet quick turnaround times.
The Shop Foreman trains and manages qualified individuals, assists them with any job problems and provides technical support, as needed.
Responsible for quality control of equipment and coaching technicians to improve fix right the first time.
Responsible to generate accurate estimates and make appropriate revisions per customer requirements while maintaining profitability.
Frequent and professional communication with service administrator, customers and/or vendors to assure follow through
Generating accurate estimates for work required.
Coordinates stand-up meetings with all technicians to review communications (e.g. service bulletins), and to provide continuing training.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for scheduling and assigning job tasks for service shop personnel.
Train technicians to improve overall quality of repairs and to meet or exceed utilization, productivity & billing goals.
Responsible to maintain manufacturers’ technician certifications.
Responsible to maintain a safe, CLEAN, working shop environment including any storage areas.
Oversee all equipment has current legible tags prior to putting in customer pick up area.
Works with the Service Manager to procure and maintain shop equipment and request supplies as needed prior to running out for the maintenance and repair of all product lines.
Assist technician periodically to insure correct part numbers are ordered from the parts department.
Process technicians’ time daily, weekly, and monthly.
Maintains consistency and reliability to ensure compliance to service and warranty administration processes.
Provides customer quality control inspections of all repaired equipment.
Responsible to participate in continuous education as designated by supervisor.
Reviews all service bulletins and communications with technicians.
Performs projects as assigned by Service Manager to improve overall customer effort, loyalty and satisfaction.
Provide in-depth electrical & hydraulic diagnostics for shop technicians, as required.
PERTINENT PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a very “active” position. He / She must have the ability to lift 50-75 pounds. In performing technician duties, he / she will be up and down on the floor, over and under and around machines with much stretching and bending. He / She will be on their feet a minimum of 75-90% of the day.
High school education
Evidence of specialized education in hydraulic, electrical diagnostics, diesel, 2-cycle and 4-stroke engines.
Computer competency required.
A minimum of 2-years of experience as a service technician
Positive work attitude.
Excellent administrative and multi-tasking skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well within a team.
