Pine Valley Golf Club is an 18-Hole private golf club founded in 1913 and designed by George Crump. Pine Valley is consistently ranked as one of the top clubs in the U.S. and World by Golf Digest. In addition to the Old Course, there is a 10-Hole Tom Fazio designed short course, a 20-acre double-ended practice facility and several club building as well as private residences.
The Assistant Equipment Manager will report directly to the Equipment Manager. Primary focus of the position will be to assist in any and all maintenance and repair of our fleet of course maintenance equipment. Will also be asked to assist the maintenance team some mornings preparing the course for the day. We are seeking a hard working, detail-oriented individual to join our team.
-Maintain a strict preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and in-field repairs.
-Ensure that all cutting units are sharpened on schedule to maintain tournament quality conditions.
-Keep accurate records of repairs and labor costs.
-Train and supervise grounds crew in the safe and proper use of all maintenance equipment.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment for yourself and the staff.
-Able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- 2-3 years Experience working as a Equipment Technician or applicable experience, willing to train motivated candidates.
-Quality of cut and cutting unit maintenance are of the utmost importance and will be stressed.
-Possess a working knowledge of gasoline, diesel and two-stroke engines. As well as understanding of Hydraulic systems, electrical systems, sprayers, differentials, gearboxes, and specialty equipment.
-Proficient in maintaining small equipment (blowers and string trimmers), mowing equipment including reel and rotary mowers, as well as trucks, tractors, and heavy equipment (skid steers, backhoe and mini-excavator).
-Able to work in a variety of conditions, making repairs in the shop as well as in the field.
-High School Diploma or GED
-Golf Course or automotive technical training preferred
