The golf course superintendent is responsible with the continued maintenance and management of Cabinet View course properties, grounds and equipment. Responsible for executing a budget, managing employees, equipment maintenance, golf cart fleet maintenance, fertility programs, pesticide applications, irrigation maintenance/scheduling and turf grass/plant health maintenance programs. The superintendent directs and participates in the maintenance of the course while supervising and upholding the repair of mechanical equipment. Superintendent works directly with General Manager for golf course setup and playability. The golf course superintendent reports directly to the General Manager/Board of Directors.

$32,000 - $42,000 depending on qualifications and experience
Family Golf Pass
Responsible for all stages of golf course maintenance and agronomic operations, budgeting and personnel.
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the business.
Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers and working knowledge of various types of pumps and pumping systems.
Knowledge of the game of golf, rules and methods of playability
Interpersonal skills to resolve conflict and work with General Manager, Board of Directors, employees and the general public.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with General Manager, Board of Directors, employees and general public.
High degree of administrative and executive ability, especially in terms of problem solving and decision making.
Skills in hiring, supervising, training, monitoring, evaluation and motivation of personnel.
Ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work to achieve the most efficient utilization of employees and equipment.
Prioritize projects to be completed in an efficient and timely manner
Physical stamina to perform duties
Lift, push and pull of to 50 lbs without assistance
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with direct experience of bent grass greens
Preferred 2 year degree or certification in Turf Grass Management (or related field such as agronomy, horticulture, plant science, soil science), but not required.
Member of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America preferred.
