Chapel Hill Country Club, is looking to add a 2nd Assistant Superintendent/Spray Tech to its golf course maintenance team. The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, communicates well, thinks outside the box and pays attention to details.
Chapel Hill Country Club has remained the only private country club in historic Chapel Hill, North Carolina since 1922. The club provides an 18-hole championship golf course, a 14-court tennis complex, competition swimming pool as well as full-service clubhouse. Originally designed by Gene Hamm, the course was re-designed by John LaFoy in 1999. The greens were converted to Champion Bermuda grass in 2017 and includes various cultivars of Bermuda and Zoysia grass throughout the course.
The 2nd Assistant Superintendent/Spray tech reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent while working closely with the 1st Assistant Superintendent to help supervise and maintain high standards of the golf course maintenance duties on a daily basis to include:
Chemical & Fertilizer applications
Scheduling & Supervising employees
Irrigation scheduling via Toro Lynx Program
Attention to detail
National and Local Dues
2-3 years of golf course maintenance experience
Experience in operating spray equipment and most golf course equipment
NC Pesticide license or ability to obtain one in 6 months
