The position is responsible for pesticide and fertilizer applications and participation in the daily maintenance tasks of the East and West Golf Courses.
Applying pesticides and fertilizer on all greens, tees, and fairways on the golf courses
Assisting in the monitoring and identification of diseases, insects, and weeds on golf course greens, tees, fairways, and rough
Keeping application records and inventory of pesticides and fertilizers
Other duties as assigned
Pursuing or have obtained a two or four year degree in Turf Grass Science or related field.
Two (2) years experience in golf course maintenance
Must possess or be able to obtain PA Pesticide Applicator's License
Must possess valid PA Driver’s License
Strong attention to detail and math skills to perform calculations
Ability to calibrate application equipment
Working knowledge of the maintenance of greens, teas, and fairways
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus
Physical requirements include ability to lift 50 lbs and operate heavy machinery
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidate must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
