The account manager will be responsible for prospecting and maintaining Planet Turf’s customers within Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and Western Montana selling nutritional, pesticides, grass seed, and other turfgrass and ornamental products. Sales efforts supported by strategic marketing plans, product training, and interactions with staff of experienced sales team. Position available immediately.
Drive business growth in assigned region calling on and servicing existing customers and establishing new business to achieve revenue and profit targets.
Knowledge of agricultural, or agronomy with regard to fertilizer, pesticides, and management of turfgrass to a level that provides consultative sales approach
Strong communication skills and personal interaction.
Structure work schedule efficiently to achieve business plan and territory target
Sales experience a plus

Strong ability to manage time be self-motivated.
Experience in landscape, golf, or related industry with practical application experience working in the grounds care industry
Achieve sales goals set forth by company
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers in territory
Ability to quickly learn product features and how they relate to practical use in an agricultural setting.
Strong desire to apply consultative sales methods.
Efficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Maintain clean driving record and ability to travel long distances
Strong understanding of agronomic principles of plant growth and development.
Demonstrate a high level of communication skills, people skills, public presentations, and ability to successfully maintain consistent and continued relationship building.
Participate in marketing events such as seminars, public speaking, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
Working conditions are normal for traveling position and office environment.
